100th Day of School

With all the snow and missed days I didn't think we'd ever make it to the 100th day...but we finally did and what a day it was!

My sweet friend Michelle made these adorable shirts with puffy paint!

We started the day with writing our numbers to 100!

While the students were writing we watched a bunch of counting videos on YouTube

Then we made Zero the Hero!!!

And made out 100 gumballs from Pinterest - somehow I forgot to take a pic of the final project so I'll have to do that and add it :)

Hope everyone else had a wonderful 100th Day!

Valentine's Day Party Fun

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day party put together by my room mom.

We do rotations for our parties and split the kids into 5 groups and have them rotate through different activities.

This year we did the following activities:

For our February family project we had the kids decorate a box to collect their valentines - they turned out so stinking cute!

We made these adorable minions for our valentines for the kids! - Thanks Pinterest :)

And lastly the gifts for the parents - again from Pinterest:

The Jacket I Wear in the Snow

I LOVE this book by Shirley Neitzel! It's great because after reading it whole group the kids really love re-reading it over and over again!

I have NO clue where I got this project but we did it last year and it was such a hit that I had to do it again this year.

We do this project a step at a time. Having the students start at the hat and color it one color. Then the scarf has to be a different color and so on and so forth.

Then once our adorable little snow people are colored we open the flaps and write our sentences:

Such a fun project...especially since currently the snow is falling and we are now off school tomorrow and probably Friday as well! :)

Have you entered my giveaway today?!? If not all your have to do today is follow my blog and my friends' blogs to get your entries. :)

So I told you we moved so here's another Pinterest inspired project that the hubby and I did:

We don't have a headboard on our bed and this wall was just HUGE and so bare.  So we went to Ikea and got a couple picture ledges. A few holes later we have the space filled in better.

Here is my accent artichoke LOL. I just love the color with the coral and brown of our bed set.

The dogs (or kids) messed up the pillows but don't the color just look amazing!

Got a few new lamps and added some pictures and it's bliss!  Minus the creepy teacher nutcracker - AHHHHHH!!! :) My husband thought it was funny putting it up there.

So now for a little treat for those that have read the entire blog post....leave me a comment of a product that you would like to win from my store and I'll pick a few lucky winners and send it to you! :) Here's the link to my store http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Christina-Mauro

Happy Anniversary to Me!!!

One year ago I started this amazing journey on a little site called Teachers Pay Teachers - you might have heard of it ;)

It has, by far, been one of the best things I have ever done!  Yes the extra money is nice...but as cheesy as it sounds - I can honestly say that TpT has made me a better teacher.  To be able to create things that MY students need and to see their enjoyment while learning is just amazing to me!

So to celebrate I have gotten together with a few of my fellow TpT friends to bring you a little giveaway! :)

So it's not your average giveaway...everyday over the next week you can come back to enter. But the way you enter will be different each day. :) It'll start off pretty easy but then we're gonna make ya work for it at bit and hopefully learn more about each other. :)

I'll also be having some flash freebies, contests, and discounted products this week that I'll announce over at my facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/ATaleofTwoKTeachers So make sure that you "like" my page to get the notifications. :)

So you might be wondering what you could win?!? Well here's a sneak peak at SOME of the products that you could win:
