Living and Nonliving & Fire Safety Week Fun {Freebie}

Last week we started discussing Living and Nonliving items in Science.  This week we did a few activities that I wanted to share with you all.

First we discussed the things we learned about things that live. I had made some cards with the vocabulary that they need to know for our science standards.  After we reviewed last weeks info we did a whole group sort with real photographs in my pocket chart.

Next I had the students do their own sort.  They were to use their best kindergarten coloring, then cut and glue into the categories.

It's also Fire Safety week this week and we honestly haven't done too much yet.  Here are a few projects that I found in my October box that I have done in past years:
