TV Teacher and a Columbus Craftivity

This year the kinder team is using TV Teacher to help our kinders with their handwriting.  We work on two letters a week and watch Ms. Marnie the TV Teacher on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This week we are working on the letters D and H and today we worked on the letter D.  For now we are using dry erase boards to practice making the letters the correct way.  The videos are great! They are very cheesy but the kids LOVE it and they love Ms. Marnie.

We do this activity right after lunch and to do upper and lowercase letters takes about 20 minutes.  They come in, grab a board, and sock with a dry erase marker inside.  We watch the video and the practice writing our letters.

Here are a few pictures from today:

We are also learning about Christopher Columbus this week and later in the week we are going to make this super cute ship.  I've been making this for over 10 years!  Super easy and fun! I'll upload the tracer patterns later this week if you want to make this with your class too!
